I was 12 years old when I had my first curly treatment. Tiny wet curls that were manageable and allowed me to create the hairstyles I wanted. At least that’s what I thought. A few years later I switched to a relaxer. It was all hype. When I turned 25 years I met a hairdresser and she made me aware of our natural hair. That it is beautiful and versatile. I wasn’t convinsed right away. It took a few more months before I really took the step to go all natural. But 2013 was the year for me. I stopped chemical treatments and heat straightening my hair. I watched videos on Youtube to learn more about my hair. Actually very crazy because I actually didn’t know how to deal with my natural hair anymore. I have learned a lot about my natural hair over the years and have come to love it immensely. When I see a lady walking in the street with her natural hair I think “yes queen, wear your crown proud”. It’s not a trend or hype, it’s a true lifestyle and awareness of our natural beauty.
My hair grew more and more until my hair reached shoulder lenght. I didn’t notice it until later that my hair didn’t reach further than my shoulders. I started using other products. My hair grew a little longer, but not the way it used to. I found that my hair did grow, but it broke off faster at the ends, making it seem like my hair had stopped growing. I tried to figunre out what it could be. Many of the hair products that are available for sale contain a lot of ingredients that are not good for the hair. When I dicovered this, I started looking for ingredients that are good for the hair. That’s how I came up with other natural oils and herbs. After trying different blends of oils etc. I found out our Fenugreek hair growth oil.
